DC weather history for October 21

Stormy weather in 1995 brought heavy rain, multiple weak tornadoes, and localized flooding across the region just days after another round of severe weather.

On this day in 1995, heavy showers and thunderstorms tracked through the D.C. area and produced up to 3 inches of rain Loudoun County, Virginia. Two weak tornadoes were reported in Frederick County, Maryland, with a third in Aberdeen, Maryland. In D.C., 1.73 inches of rain fell. The storms came a week after torrential rain and tornadoes on Oct. 14.
