Unseasonable warmth in 2012 brought record temperatures, part of a remarkable early-March heat wave that led to the warmest March on record.

On this date in 2012, the temperature soared to a calendar-day record of 82 degrees. It was the third day in a row above 80 and contributed to what would become D.C.'s warmest March record.
