DC weather history for June 10

Severe storms in 2013 brought record rainfall, flash flooding, and a confirmed tornado in the region.

On this day in 2013, a calendar-day record 2.77 inches of rain fell as severe storms swept across the region. Flash flooding was reported in numerous parts of the area. In addition, a tornado watch was issued and a twister was confirmed near the Howard-Carroll county line. Damage was reported near Woodbine, Maryland.
