Relentless cold in 1880 set record lows for multiple consecutive days, part of one of the coldest Novembers on record.

On this day in 1880, the high and low temperatures of 29 and 12 degrees both set records for cold. The previous day’s high and low of 28 and 12 were also cold records. And the next day, the low of 13 was a record. That November was more than 9 degrees colder than normal, and tied for the second coldest on record.
