DC weather history for March 25

A late-season 2014 snowstorm brought record snowfall to D.C., part of an unusually snowy month with multiple storms.

On this date in 2014, a calendar-day record 1.7 inches of snow fell in D.C. Washington Dulles International Airport received 3.8 inches, pushing its monthly total to a record 19.8 inches. It marked the third snowstorm of the month. The snowfall exceeded forecasts for around an inch that day. East of the Chesapeake Bay, 4 to 7 inches was reported.
